River City Recovery is a community-based outpatient treatment agency that provides counseling and case management services to individuals and families suffering from the effects of addiction, mental health, domestic violence, or other personal issues.
At River City Recovery we understand how difficult it can be to take the first step toward treatment and that many times a person seeking services may have family or work commitments that prevent them from seeking help. For these reasons, we provide a variety of outpatient services that can often be the best option, since it allows the individual to remain at home and with their families.
River City's philosophy is based on our commitment to providing services not just to the individual but also the family. We understand that the family can be just as affected as the individual who is seeking services and may also require our support.
Service Fee: We accept most insurances and self-pay (sliding scale)
Choosing to come to therapy and seek the right help can be a difficult and intimidating process; therefore, River City would like to offer you a free 15 minute phone/video consultation to see if we are the right fit for you.

Domestic Violence Counseling
If you are familiar with the Serenity Prayer, you may have experienced addiction recovery in a group setting or know a family member who has struggled with addiction.
For those affected by addiction, learning a new way of life may require group participation.
Group therapy can help ease the pain, isolation, and struggle that addiction has left behind.
At River City Recovery we understand that a family-centered approach is essential when addressing the strengths, needs, and preferences of families. We see families as enduring relationships, whether biological or non-biological, chosen or circumstantial.
Family centered approach is based on the importance of connecting a child/youth and a parent/caregiver through culture, tradition, shared experiences, emotional engagement, and mutual support.
The first step in the treatment of Domestic Violence is to offer the person or family who has been traumatized by the abuse in the home- a safe, supportive and healing environment.
Our goal is to help these families find safety and support so that the healing process can begin.
No family member who is involved in domestic violence will receive services at the same location.
At River City Recovery we provide comprehensive, culturally competent, trauma-informed counseling and case management services for families suffering from the effects mental health, substance abuse, or domestic violence.
Our goal is to promote long-term self-sufficiency, security, and independence for children and adults who have been victimized. We also provide case managment to help with accessing support services for victims and their children.
Participation in family counseling involves teaching family members how to effectively communicate their thoughts, feelings and concerns, especially in difficult situations. These communication skills help promote empathy, understanding and strong family relationships.
"Behavior is the language of trauma. Children will show you before they tell you they are in distress" Micere Keels
"Families are like the branches of a tree, they all grow in different directions, but our roots remain the same"
At River City Recovery, our goal is to address the psychological, behavioral, and emotional issues that cause family problems. Family members will work with a therapist or counselor to develop and maintain healthy relationships.
