SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES

The Serenity Prayer resonates deeply within addiction recovery communities. It emphasizes the importance of accepting what cannot be changed, having the courage to change what can, and the wisdom to know the difference. This can be incredibly empowering for people in recovery.

Group therapy plays a role in this journey and being in a support group can help lessen the stigma surrounding by addiction. Members can openly discuss their challenges without fear of judgment, creating a safe environment for healing.

Ultimately, group therapy can be a powerful tool in an individual's recovery journey, helping them not just to overcome addiction but to build a fulfilling and connected life beyond it.

FAMILIES

A family-centered approach recognizes that the well-being of children and youth is deeply intertwined with the dynamics of their family systems. We prioritize the unique strengths and challenges of each family unit, understanding that every family has its own history, culture, and values that shape its experiences.

We focus on the inherent strengths of each family, recognizing that every family has capabilities and resources that can be mobilized to address challenges and achieve positive outcomes.

By adopting a family-centered approach, River City Recovery aims to create a supportive environment where families can thrive together. Our goal is to foster lasting connections that encourage growth, healing, and resilience.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families affected by domestic violence is crucial to their healing journey.

At River City, we ensure that services are provided and that the survivors location is safe and supportive. We include both  physical spaces and virtual services.

We provide ongoing support to ensure that assistance does not end after the initial intervention. Providing continuous services, check-ins, and resources is essential for long-term healing and recovery.
